Peacocks, Bubbles and Flying Fish

The kids and I had a really neat day at the Long Island Children's Museum. Being at the museum really made me excited for the opening of the Children's Museum of Phoenix.

The museum had an exhibit called Kangaroo Crossing where we learned all about the "land down under."

Nathan especially loved the Kangaroos.

We attended a special class at the museum where we listened to a reading of the book, Wake Up, Big Barn! Afterwards the kids made collage peacocks like the illustrations in the story.

Nathan LOVED the glue and glitter. The museum workers were great and told him that he could use as much as he needed to.

The kids also made flying fish. To see Gracie's fish and peacock click here, to see Nate's click here.

The biggest hit of the day were the bubbles. Here is Nate inside of a bubble that Gracie made.

We finished our day playing with water, digging in the dirt, smelling herbs in the garden and painting with water in the museums "backyard."
