Godfathers Boat

Gracie's Godfather Jim lives in Connecticut and today he drove his boat across the Long Island Sound to meet and take us out for a day of fun on the water.  

Jim and his sweet dog Mia met us in a neat little village called Port Jefferson.  It's about 45 minutes from my sisters house and it was fun walking around and looking in all of the little shops.

This was Grace and Nate's first time on a boat and while the experience made Gracie a little scared, Nathan loved it and kept telling Godfather to go faster.

Gracie fell in love with Jim's dog Mia.  They swam with the horseshoe crabs and played ball together all day.

Captain Nate... Soon after this picture was taken the sky opened up and a huge rainstorm 

erupted. Donnie and Jim dropped us off at a dock near TT's house in Huntington and made 

their way back across the Sound to pick up the rental car in Port Jefferson. It

was awesome to listen to the thunder and watch the huge storm move in.

We took a walk after the rainstorm... breathtaking.

Puddle Jumping runs in the family. My sister is a Puddle Jumper too.
