Fishing

Today we visited Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium.  The kids go fishing with their dad all the time but rarely catch anything, so we thought that this would be the perfect time for them to actually catch fish.  The hatchery is beautiful, it's 125 years old and we learned alot about the freshwater ecosystems of New York.

Before fishing we enjoyed the grounds around the hatchery.  We were also given large buckets of fish food and had fun feeding the fish in the different ponds.

Daddy and Gracie watched birds.

The huge bird they spotted.

It was beautiful.

The aquarium has a conjoined twin turtle.

Gracie was amazed that the turtle had TWO heads.

For the most part, Nathan preferred playing with the worms over fishing.

Gracie's catch of the day.

Nathan's Big One!

Cleaning the fish with Dad...  Several days later TT and I cooked the fish for dinner.  Nathan and I were the only one's that ate it.  Both TT and Gracie said it was Gross!
