Central Park Zoo

The kids and I woke up very excited this morning because we were finally going to spend the day at one of our very favorite places.  Central Park.

Our first stop in Central Park was the Central Park Zoo.  Nathan couldn't wait to see the monkeys.

Gracie couldn't wait to see the penguins.

Scooter the Sea Lion.  The kids ran laps around the pool with Scooter.

Every once in awhile he would pop his head out of the water and splash them.

The kids loved all of the sculptures and statues in New York.  This one of an Eagle was a favorite.  Both of them ran to it shouting "American Eagle, American Eagle!"

One of the highlights of the morning was watching Gus the Polar Bear.  The kids and I were watching Gus sleep when all of a sudden he very slowly woke up, stretched and dove into the water...

The kids and I raced down the steps to watch him swim and fish.
