Children's Museum of the Arts

Today we planned to visit the Statue of Liberty, I woke up tired and told Grace that maybe we should save Lady Liberty for another day.  Gracie said, "You'll be ok Mama, just drink some Starbucks!"

The coffee didn't help, so I decided that we would spend the afternoon at the Children's Museum of the Arts.  I'm so glad that we discovered the museum, it turned out to be one of our new favorite places in Manhattan.

Gracie painted several paintings for me... my favorite was an apple tree.

This place was amazing... offering every type of craft supply you could think of to fuel the kids imaginations.

Nate started out using a paint brush.

But then decided that using his hands was much more fun!

The kids made paper flowers and decorated vases to give to TT and Mikey.

Gracie traced Nathan's body and both kids colored him.

The basement of the museum holds a classroom, ball pond, green screen and clay studio.  Nate LOVED the ball pond.

Both kids loved seeing themselves on tv.

The moviestars!

The kids attended a clay workshop.  At the workshop they were asked to look though an animal book and select animals that they would like to learn how to make.  Nathan chose a snake and Gracie bats.

Nathan rolling out hid snake.

Nathan was very proud of himself.
