Old Fashioned 4th of July Picnic

Spent part of the afternoon at an awesome picnic hosted by the Alpine Chamber of Commerce. We had so much fun playing the games with the kids and enjoying simple old fashioned things like the cake walk.  

We spotted this herd of Elk on the side of the road while driving to the picnic.

After watching Gracie, Nate decided to give the game a try too.  He also picked a winner!

Gracie was the smallest kid in the sack race.

This was her very first time, she had a little trouble because the sack was so big.

Look at that golden hair fly!  She came in last place, but the judges were so impressed that she didn't give up that they gave her a prize anyways.  Two free ice cream cones and a hamburger from Sonic.  Gracie was very excited!

Gracie asked Memaw to play the egg toss with her.

Their egg broke on the first toss.

Recharging his batteries for the fireworks tonight!
