First Day of Kindergarten

Gracie's first day of school was bittersweet.  Gracie woke up pumped and ready to start the new school year.  Donnie and I woke up excited for our bright and shiny Miss Mae, but sad that our sweet, pink, six pound little tiny baby girl is growing up so very fast.

The morning started with a good luck phone call from TT.

And a yummy breakfast with her babies and little brother.

After breakfast Gracie couldn't wait to show off her first day of school outfit to her Daddy.

Time has gone by so quickly...  It seems like only yesterday that we were driving by this school with little baby Grace saying... "Someday Baby, that's where you will go to school."

Gracie was thrilled when she spotted her teacher.  She was even more excited when she discovered that Mrs. Bertel chose to wear the necklace that Gracie made for her.

Finally it was time for goodbye kisses and hugs.

And an I love you for Mommy.

At 7:40 AM, the bell rang and the new school year began.

When it was time to pick Gracie up, Mrs Bertel said that Gracie had a terrific day. Gracie said that her first day was "Awesome" and "Great!"  The class read the book ~ The Kissing Hand, met the principal, sang songs, worked on math, learned the class rules and most of all had fun making new friends.

As soon as we arrived back home, Gracie threw off her clothes and ran outside to play in the water in our backyard.

It was a perfect first day.

Another major event happened in Gracie's life today.  I will write about it tomorrow.  Can you guess what it was???

Here's a clue.

Did Miss Grace lose a tooth? Here comes the "Tooth Fairy" again to leave that wonderful and fanciful dust!
Well done, Loraine, you made it. Gracie will be fine and I'm sure she will love Mrs Bertel.
