Bedtime Prayers

Gracie's teacher Mrs. Vargas is pregnant with her first baby.  Every day Gracie asks Mrs. Vargas how her her baby is doing.  Mrs. Vargas gives her daily updates and Gracie has been convinced for several weeks now that the baby is a girl.  

Tonight Mrs. Vargas found out that she is having a boy.  Gracie was devastated.  I explained to her that we do not choose these things, God chooses our babies for us.  Tonight when she said her bedtime prayers, she prayed to Jesus that he would turn Mrs. Vargas' baby back into a girl...

When Loraine was little, she wished Shannon (TT, Gracie and Nathan's Aunt) would be a boy. When Shannon was born, and Grammie and Grandpa announced to Loraine she had a baby sister, Loraine got sick in a laundry basket at the hospital. Now, Loraine would not trade Shannon for all of the stars in the sky! Loraine and Shannon have a special love for each other!
So Gracie, as your Mommy says, God makes the decisions on who gets a boy or a girl and each one is a special gift from God! I love your prayers!
