Banana Split for Summer and Pizza Party

Today was the last day of preschool.  We are really excited for Summer, swimming and sleeping in, sleep overs and traveling.  The kids celebrated with a Pizza and Banana Split for Summer Party.  (I don't have pictures from the pizza / split party ~ Nate and I were too busy eating ice cream... yum).

One of our favorite things at Gracie's school is the morning tradition of ringing the bell to call the students together for the start of the day.

Each morning a different child is chosen to ring the school bell.  This morning Gracie was the bell ringer.  It's awesome to watch the kids run together to gather around the flag pole for the pledge and school prayer.

The school prayer was written by one of the founding teachers of the school and my friend, Ursula Lethcoe.

School Prayer...
Thank you God for this fine day.
Be with us as we learn and play.
Help us to be kind and true,
and above all else to honor You.
Amen.

The final "group hugs"!

Group Hugs are a favorite in this class... and in our house too!  Gracie dressed herself today.  Horse shorts, horse shirt, a green St. Patrick's Day bow and flip flops...  Obviously, she get's her Sense of Style from her Mama...  God help her...

The final activity of the day was cleaning out their cubbies and washing their chairs and room for the new students next year.

Loraine-

Jodi sent me the link to your blog and I absolutely love it. Your children are so adorable! What a neat way to document all the special moments in their lives. I think I just might start my own blog. Blessings to your family!
