Fixing Cars, Coconuts, Pedicures and Fireworks

Sunday at our house....

Nate helping Dad do maintenance on our Acura, "Daisy."  Donnie and I have had Daisy since before we were married.  Notice Nathan's bottomless mechanic uniform.

Yesterday, while shopping at Sprouts Gracie decided that we "needed" to buy a coconut.  She had never tasted one and was curious.  This morning, Donnie drilled a hole in the coconut and we all took turns tasting the milk.

Both kids did NOT like the coconut!!!  "Yucky ~ Gross" were the first things they said after tasting it.  We were proud of them for trying... and I enjoyed the coconut.  Until a few hours later when I found out that coconuts are also natural laxatives... oops!  I know, t.m.i.

Gracie and I were due for pedicures, so we met our friends down the hill and had some "girl time."  Ella (pink sandals) and Gracie's toes turned out so cute, I couldn't resist a picture.  Purplicious toes with Pinkilicious flowers... Perfection!

Tonight was the Phoenix Symphony Pops Concert at the lake.  We walked over to listen to the second half of the show and watch the grand finale fireworks.

At first, Nathan was a little nervous about the fireworks, but he got used to it.  Gracie kept saying "Ewww-Ahhh-ain't that pretty!!!"  (a favorite family expression, used when looking at fireworks, christmas lights, and all things beautiful.)

Even though they were all smiles, they were not satisfied customers.  When the show was over they wanted more fireworks...
